Looking for Stories

The goal of any time we spend on grammar/punctuation is for you to have the opportunity to find and fix any weaknesses you have. We ALL have weaknesses -- professionals work to improve in those areas.

Any proofreading questions from yesterday's drafts? Proofreading advice: this weekend, after you've forgotten the paper, print it out and read it slowly OUT LOUD. This will help you see it with new eyes.

You correct your apostrophe quiz:  http://chompchomp.com/hotpotatoes/apostrophes01.htm

Let's talk quotation marks -- see handout. Go to Moodle for an exercise.

Now, yesterday we discusses vivid words: how many ways are there to say "run"?

Go to Moodle, and find out how many words you know (sort of) and post in the forum.

Homework:

1. Be revise and then proofread your Ethics Narrative.  The final version is due Monday.

2. ON the apostrophe quiz, write which rule from the rule sheet handout that applies to the ones you missed.

3.  Do the quotation marks practice and print a hard copy for Monday.

4. Post in the Examples of Business Narratives in Moodle.
